Scott Ratterman

CCWD Division 1 Director Scott Ratterman has deep roots in Calaveras County, where he grew up attending San Andreas Elementary School and Calaveras High School. He went on to earn a Business Administration degree with a concentration in Insurance from California State University, Sacramento. After graduation Scott pursued a career in the insurance field where he spent 37 years as a claims professional.
In 2011, Ratterman was appointed Director of the Calaveras County Water District, Division 1, where he currently represents residents of San Andreas and Valley Springs, as well as the subdivisions of Gold Creek and La Contenta. Scott has been elected chair of the CCWD board three times.
In 2013 Scott joined the Board at Mountain Counties Water Resources Association where he is currently serving his third stint as President of the Board. In 2023 Ratterman was appointed to the ACWA JPIA Executive Committee where he is currently serving a four-year term.
Prior to being elected CCWD Director, Ratterman spent several years on the Calaveras Community Foundation Board. He is currently a Board member on the Calaveras County Historical Society and is an active member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in San Andreas. He is a proud father of two adult sons and one grandson and resides in San Andreas.
