When a leak is reported, the District creates a work order for the field staff to assess and repair the leak. Field staff determines the severity of the leak and schedules the repair based on priority.
You may contact the District’s Customer Service Department at (209) 754-3543 during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) to request an update on the status of a leak. However, office staff generally does not have new information about the status of a leak until the field crews have returned work orders.
Important note: District staff determines the severity of leaks when they are reported and schedules repairs based on priority. Many of the District’s water lines are more than 50 years old, and there are numerous leaks in these old and failing systems. We appreciate your patience if your leak is not repaired right away.
