CCWD Begins AMI Meter Installation in Ebbetts Pass - August 31, 2021
SAN ANDREAS, CA., August 30, 2021 – CCWD is pleased to announce that meter installations for their Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project has begun. On behalf of Mueller Systems, the project subcontractor, Keystone Utility Systems, is currently installing meters in the Big Trees Village area. Keystone will first focus on the Ebbetts Pass service area to ensure meters will be switched out before winter storms arrive. Once all meters are replaced throughout Ebbetts Pass, Keystone will move to the other service areas including Sheep Ranch, West Point, Copperopolis, Wallace, and Jenny Lind.
When Keystone is about to work in your area, you will see a large, digital construction sign on the road near your neighborhood to give you a heads up. Once a new meter is installed on your property, a door tag will be placed on your door informing you.
CCWD is partnering with Mueller Systems to implement AMI throughout the District with the goal of improving the District’s meter reading system. CCWD will replace all 13,000+ water meters with new, highly accurate meters. These advanced meters will send usage data to CCWD through a wireless network.
